Quick DIY Face Exfoliate

Sometimes self-care is breaking out the good stuff for a deep clean face wash... or simply having a glass of lemon water. Our day to day activities can leave use wanting to crawl into bed the first chance we get, so exfoliating can be easily overlooked. Don't rob yourself of the refreshing benefits to your skin!

So for you on-the-go folks, here is a short recipe for our coconut sugar face exfoliate:

  • 2 tbsp Organic Coconut Palm Sugar

  • 6 drops of Chamomile oil

  • 6 drops of Lavender oil

  • 1 tsp Coconut Oil (or almond oil)

Use a small glass jar (20 ml or so) to stir ingredients. I like to use a wooden stirrer. Adjust amounts as you see fit. You can reduce the measurements in half just to create enough for a one time use.

The coconut face exfoliate is a sweet treat for your face! It's perfect with a face loofah but can be used with just your fingers. Rub a small amount of the scrub and a few drops of water in the palm of your hand, then apply to your face in a circular motion. Don't push in too roughly. Perfect for areas of dry or dead skin. I specifically use this scrub for areas around the nose. Rinse or wipe your face clean with a damp cloth. Please keep in mind your skin type and allergies.

Afterward, your face will be moisturized from the added oils. I use chamomile and almond oil on my face at least once a week. Enjoy your mini facial and be careful with the mess potential of sugar scrubs!
