We are washing our hands more than ever before (hopefully), and while the purpose is cleanliness, the excessive use of soap and sanitizer can be noticeably drying and uncomfortable for the skin. This DIY scrub can help soothe scaly skin.
· 3 tbsp of coconut sugar
· 3 tsp of almond or jojoba oil (if you only have coconut oil, that's great too).
· 3 drops of a soothing essential oil (lavender, chamomile, or frankincense)
· 3 drops of rosehip oil
Stir ingredients in a small bowl or ramekin. You can apply as you would a lotion or soap, rubbing hands beneath a slow stream of water then gently scrub into hands. This scrub works as a moisturizing exfoliant. Be sure to get the back of your hands as well. For continued care, always carry a quenching hand moisturizer in your car or handbag for use after washing. Here are a few of our FAVES. While we don't sell sugar scrubs on our website, our Etsy has recently returned! Check out our fun collection.
